Description

Short title: Banister v Brooke.

Plaintiff(s): Christopher Banister.

Defendant(s): Sir Peter Brooke, kt.

Subject of depositions: Capital messuage, tenement, and mansion-house of Catterall, near Wyre (Lancashire), and the demesnes belonging, with a water cornmill and a kiln adjoining, lately belonging to Robert Sherborn, of Little Mitton (Lancashire), and mortgaged to Christopher Banister, late of Preston in Amounderness, and "sequestered" by the late Parliament for the "delinquency" of Robert.

County/place: Lancashire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1671.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 January 1672 at Chorley.
