Description

Short title: Mayor of Exeter v Browning.

Plaintiff(s): The mayor, bayliffs, and comonaltye of the cittye of Exeter.

Defendant(s): George Browning.

Subject of depositions: "Certain haven or great water leate called `the New Haven,' whereby goods, etc. are conveyed to and from the key of the city of Exeter." Touching damage to the haven caused by defendant making "a cutting thro' the banks of the River Exe" to the great loss of the plaintiffs.

County/place: Devon.

Date of commission: 12 February 1669.
