Description

Short title: Bishop of Oxford v Doyley.

Plaintiff(s): Walter Lord Bishop of Oxford.

Defendant(s): John Doyley (now Sir John Doyley, bart), Sir Thomas Overbury, Kath Doyley, Thomas Doyley, Ursula Doyley, John Wickham, Charles Giles, Thankful Owen, Joan Hickmott, Elizabeth Langbane, Edward Wise, Charles Giles, an infant (by William Baker, his guardian), Robert Anderson, William White, John Frewin, Henry Meades.

Subject of depositions: Vicarage of Cuddesdon, in Oxford. Touching grounds called Chibnest alias ChibbenhurSt Tithes.

County/place: Oxfordshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1668.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 27 March 1668 at Oxford.
