Description

Short title: Butler v Wells.

Plaintiff(s): Nevill Butler.

Defendant(s): William Wells, Josh. Crowder, Philip Williamson, John Saunders.

Subject of depositions: Late priory of Barnwell (Cambridgeshire) in the possession of plaintiff. Tithes, and particularly the tithes of pieces of ground in Barnwell, called "Bullin" and "Balke Dole" in possession of defendants. Touching also an annuity payable by the Corporation of Cambridge to the owners of the dissolved priory.

County/place: Cambridgeshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1668.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 April 1668 at Cambridge.
