Description

Short title: Attorney General v Jones.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Jeffrey Palmer, kt and bart (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): Humfrey Jones, one of the defendants.

Subject of depositions: Defendant's account as surviving treasurer of the moneys arising by the sale of the goods and personal estate of the late King, the Queen mother "and his Majesty that now is" which moneys he received under an Act of Parliament of 26 June 1649. Touching salaries paid by defendant and John Hunt (deceased, treasurer?) to the trustees and contractors for the sale.

County/place: Ireland.

Date of commission: 12 February 1668.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 1 April 1668 at Dublin.
