Description

Short title: Attorney General v Baylis.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Jeffrey Palmer, kt and bart (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): William Baylis, Lewis Hinds, Anthony Hendges, George Phillips, William Green, Thomas Burnham, William New, William Thompson, Robert Bond, George Blackwell, William White, William Saunders, William Phipps, Nicholas Phillips and his wife Frances, John Hawley, Matthew Tredwell, Elizabeth Gascoine, Anne Low, widow, Thomas Gascoine, George Hilliard, Robert Selwood, Thomas Cute, Henry Brett, Mary Brett wife of Henry Brett.

Subject of depositions: Lands in the parish of St Clement alias St Bridget, near the city of Oxford, the manor or farm of Boleshipton alias Boldshipton, Wick Farm, in the parish of Heddington, and the forest of Shotover and Stowood. Metes and bounds, and perambulation of the forest Inclosure of forest and allotments to landholders. Common of pasture. Customs of forest.

County/place: Oxfordshire.

Date of commission: 26 May 1666.
