Description

Short title: Place v Monson.

Plaintiff(s): William Place, William Baldwin, John Nevell, Thomas Hilbert, Jacob Cooke, John Girdley, William Snowden, William Everingham, on behalf of themselves, William Holland, and divers other inhabitants and freeholders of Winterton.

Defendant(s): Sir John Monson, K.B. and Bart.

Subject of depositions: "Manor of theSooke" of Kirton-in-Linsey and the town and lordship of Winterton-in-Linsey. Touching plaintiffs' claim to a parcel of ground "adjoining to the river of Aucholne within said lordship" and defendant's claim thereto by force of an Act of Parliament of 13 Chas II entitled "An Act for confirmation of certain Decrees of "Sewers made by the Commissioners for the limitts of the level of Aucholne in said county of Lincoln" etc.

County/place: Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 13 February 1665.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 April 1665 at Glamford Bridge.
