Description

Short title: Tildesley v Vernon.

Plaintiff(s): Dame Frances Tildesley, administratrix of the goods and chattles, rights, and credits of Sir Thomas Tildesley her late husband.

Defendant(s): William Vernon.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to a lease of the forest of Mierscough (Lancashire), granted by Chas I "to Mrs Elizabeth Howard, late one of the family or one of the Maids of Honour to the Queen Dowager that now is" to hold for 31 years after the expiration of a lease granted by James the First to Edward Tildesley, esq,.

County/place: Middlesex; Lancashire.

Date of commission: 8 July 1663.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 17 July 1663 at St Martins-in-the-Fields and 28 September 1663 at Lancaster.
