Description

Short title: Williams v Herbert.

Plaintiff(s): John Williams, taylor.

Defendant(s): Ann Herbert, widow of William Herbert, constable of Cardiff Castle, Richard Watkins, Thomas Richards, Edward Wante, Hugh Hawkins, George Evans, Adamel Hickman, Phillip Dennis, William Wren, Lewis Thomas.

Subject of depositions: Manors of Cardiff and Listelabont belonging to Phillip Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery. Touching the seizure of plaintiff's goods in his house at Cardiff, and of his mill, at Listelabont, as felon's goods, forfeited to the Earl as lord of the manors.

County/place: Glamorgan.

Date of commission: 12 February 1648.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 30 March 1648 at Cardiff.
