Description

Short title: Metcalf v Colby.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Metcalf, Roger Metcalf, John Metcalf, Thomas Stockdale, John Smales, Richard Besson, Edmund Metcalf, James Pratt, John Blades, Edward Pratt.

Defendant(s): John Colby.

Subject of depositions: "Manor or forest" of Wenesladale, part of the lordship of Middleham (Yorkshire), and late of the abbey of Jervax. Plaintiffs' claim of tenant right. Common of pasture.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 25 June 1640.
