Description

Short title: Attorney General v Adeane.

Plaintiff(s): Sir John Banks, kt (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): John Adeane, Richard Hodges, Matthw. Adeane, John Nelme, John Hyman, Andrew Horne, John Wintle, John Bucke, William Hayward, John Tyler, Robert Young, Edward Morgan, George Harris, William Yem, Henry Rudge, Richard Yem, John Bennet, Thomas Rudge, Michael Howe, John Gwilliam, Thomas Whooper.

Subject of depositions: Forest of Deane in Gloucester. Alleged waste and spoil, trespass, etc. Encroachment and enclosures. Common of pasture. "Improvement" of forest Value of 4,000 acres allotted for the commoners and poor inhabitants within the precincts of said forest, etc.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 25 June 1640.
