Description

Short title: Bishop of Winchester v Hodges.

Plaintiff(s): Walter Bishop of Winchester, Walter Cliffe.

Defendant(s): Henry Hodges, Henry Crewkern, William Chilcott.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Taunton and Taunton Dean (Somerset) belonging to the bishopric of Winchester. Touching alleged infringement of the "Libertie and priveledge of returne of writts" etc.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 28 November 1639.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 January 1640 at Hilbishops.
