Description

Short title: Attorney General v Osborne.

Plaintiff(s): Sir John Banks, kt (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): Sir Robert Osborne, kt, Richard Marriot.

Subject of depositions: Honor of Grafton (Northamptonshire). Charge against defendant of plowing up the mill field, without a license. Whether a disease called the "wood evil" and the prevalence of "mold banks" justified him in so doing.

County/place: Northamptonshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1639.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 14 January 1640 at Grafton Regis.
