Description

Short title: Attorney General v Throkmorton.

Plaintiff(s): Sir John Banks, kt (Attorney General), by information.

Defendant(s): Sir Bamham Throkmorton, baronet, Sir Sackville Crowe, bart John Taylor, John Gunning, merchants, Richard Skinner, Richard Powell, William Withenbery, William Arundel, William Morgan, John Knight, George Meredith.

Subject of depositions: Forest of Deane (Gloucestershire). Touching ironworks in the forest belonging to the Crown. Amount and value of timber used for said works which was fit for shipping, building, etc. Alleged "waste and spoil" etc.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 30 June 1638.
