Description

Short title: Mayor of Bristol v Morgan.

Plaintiff(s): The mayor, burgesses, and comynalty of the citty of Bristol.

Defendant(s): Richard Morgan, Henry Badman, Robert Pattison, John Holbrook, John Miller, Thomas Hopkins, George Wykes, Robert Pope.

Subject of depositions: Port of Bristol, and Kingroad Harbor, and Crewkerne Pell, on the Severn. Erection of "tippling houses." Alleged interference by defendants with "pitching of posts" and other privileges of plaintiffs.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 25 June 1634.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 17 September 1634 at Bristol.
