Description

Short title: Lassells v Metcalf.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Lassells.

Defendant(s): Richard Metcalf, Mark Hall.

Subject of depositions: Manor of North Allerton [Northallerton], and the ancient mills belonging, called "The Castle Mills" parcel of the possessions of the bishopric of Durham. Alleged withdrawal of their "suit and sucken" (grinding of corn, ) from mills contrary to custom and to plaintiff's injury.

County/place: Yorkshire; Durham.

Date of commission: 12 February 1633.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 May 1633 at N. Allerton.
