Description

Short title: Attorney General v Wray.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Robert Heath, kt (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): Edward Wray and his wife Lady Elizabeth, and the Wardens and Scholars of the College of St Mary, Winchester, in Oxford, called New College.

Subject of depositions: "Forest or late forest" of Barnewood (Buckinghamshire), and the wastes called Penhill, Stonehurst, and Gravelpitts. Metes and bounds, and the towns of Staunton, Horton, etc. Right of Common. Touching the disafforesting of the forest Survey.

County/place: Oxfordshire; Buckinghamshire.

Date of commission: 20 May 1631.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 2 June 1631 at Bister.
