Description

Short title: Attorney General v Gayer.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Robert Heath, kt (Attorney General), Brian Henshaw.

Defendant(s): Bartram Gayer and William Grene, bailiffs, of the town of Morpeth, Chris. Dawson, Thomas Gawen Aydon, Redhead, Thomas John Bulman, Pye, John White, John Woodriff, John Smith, Gawen Smith, Philip Harrison, Lawrence Softley, Andrew Marr, John Grene, Francis Grene, Laun. Ogle, Gerrard Redhead, Nicholas Thornton.

Subject of depositions: Free Grammar School in Morpeth, called "The Free Grammar School of King Edward the Sixth" endowed with the lands of the chapelry of Netherwitton, chantry lands of All Saints in Morpeth, and lands in Callerton and Pontelond. Value and disposal of revenues. Appointment of schoolmaster.

County/place: Northumberland.
