Description

Short title: Constable v Mayor of Hedon.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Henry Constable, Viscount Dunbar.

Defendant(s): The mayor, bailiffs, of Hedon, William Ombler, Thomas Barton, Thomas Stephenson, Thomas Robinson, Eliza Bonfray, Lancelot Jackson, William Lister, William Potts, John Burstall, Thomas Savage.

Subject of depositions: Town of Headon, the Court of Pleas, and the prison, the lordship, and liberties of Holdernes, and the Wapentake Court of Holdernes, held in the hall. Touching the keeping of the keys of hall.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1629.
