Description

Short title: Morris v Strowd.

Plaintiff(s): Humfry Morris, late high collector of the second subsidy of two entire subsidies granted to the now King.

Defendant(s): Thomas Strowd.

Subject of depositions: Touching a contempt alleged to have been committed by defendant against plaintiff in the execution of his office, i.e. by using menaces and threats while plaintiff was levying a distress (a cloak) upon Richard Perryman in the parish of St Margaret's, Westminster.

County/place: Middlesex.

Date of commission: 28 November 1626.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 January 1627.
