Description

Short title: Taylor v Pass.

Plaintiff(s): William Taylor, of Heintre, late of Toppisham, William Taylor, of the city of Exeter, Nicholas Fley, their assignee and under miller of water grist mills in Toppisham.

Defendant(s): Ezechia Pass, William Weare, Robert Pidgeon, three of the defendants, and Katherine Gibbs, widow, Jane Jordaine, widow, and others, tenants in His Majesty manor of Toppisham.

Subject of depositions: Customary mills called "Weare Mills" parcel of the manor of Toppisham. Custom of "suit and grist" to mills. Touching a contempt of court committed by defendants.

County/place: Devon.

Date of commission: 28 June 1626.
