This series is made up of those deeds which were too large to fit into the standard-sized envelopes used for the deeds in C 146
The deeds of gift include grants of lands, manors, castles, tenements, messuages, orchards, wastes, public houses, rectories and parsonages; occasionally a nomination of attorney to deliver seisin can be found. There are too conveyances of rents, advowsons, herbage and passage, fee-farms, and annuities arising from land. Also included are assignments of leases and the transfer of recognizances.
A number of marriage bonds are included, as well as awards of arbitration. Other settlements and agreements relate to custody and wardship, parish boundaries, and wills. There are also a few enrolled copies of deeds taken from evidence in the Rolls Chapel and brought into Chancery, a copy of an inquisition post mortem, a Chancery order, and a writ sent to a sheriff ordering the appearance of an individual in connection with a bond.
