Description

Short title: Seager v Rich.

Plaintiff(s): John Seager.

Defendant(s): Richard Rich, vicar of the parish church of Elberton, William Rich.

Subject of depositions: Rectory of Elberton, and right and title to a messuage in Elberton, called "Pristcroft "; whether granted by John, sometime Lord Bishop of Bristol, and now Lord Bishop of Worcester, to plaintiff for the lives of Richard Seager, Thomas Seager, and John Seager his sons? whether parcel of the late abbey of St Augustine's, in Bristol, and granted by them to John Bond, vicar of Elberton, and afterwards held by Richard Taylor, vicar of Elberton? Touching liability of the owners of the messuage to pay tithes to the rectory of Elberton. [Mr. Pepwell, sometime vicar, is mentioned].
