Description

Short title: Lewis v Bulkeley.

Plaintiff(s): John Lewis.

Defendant(s): Dame Mary Bulkeley, Hugh Morgan, Roland Thomas, Sir Richard Bulkeley, the younger, Richard Bulkeley.

Subject of depositions: Claim of plaintiff to rent for lands of defendants called "The Farm of Ledwigan Llan" in the township of same name, and for lands adjoining, alleged to have been demised by Hugh Lewis (plaintiff's father) to Sir Richard Bulkeley, the elder, deceased, at a yearly rent. Defacing and destruction of the meares and boundaries between the freehold and farm lands of Hugh. [William Lewis, plaintiff's grandfather, is mentioned].

County/place: Anglesea.

Date of commission: 10 July 1622.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 5 September 1622 at Llangefin.
