Plaintiff(s): Sir Thomas Coventry, kt, (His Majesty's Attorney General) on His Majesty's behalf.

Defendant(s): Mayor and burgesses of the town of Newcastle-on-Tyne, Francis Anderson, William Wermouth, James Clavering, aldermen, Robert Shafto, Anthony Morpeth, Bartram Liddell, Thomas Nicholson, William Hogg, William Hadderick, Robert Bewick.
