Description

Short title: Wardour v Rowdon.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Edward Wardour, kt.

Defendant(s): John Rowdon, deputy or chief clerk in the office of Sir Thomas Watson, late one of the tellers of His Majesty's receipt in Dec. Jan. and Feb. 1619, and for ten months after.

Subject of depositions: Debt of £100 due by plaintiff to defendant in place of Francis Laighton (See above, Number 16) Whether the sum was paid by Mr Francis Squibb (chief clerk to Sir Robert Seymour, kt, then and now one of the tellers of His Majesty's receipt) to defendant, or to Nicholas Cole, to his use.

County/place: Middlesex.

Date of commission: 12 February 1622.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 March 1622 at Westminster.
