Description

Short title: Wardour v Laighton.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Edward Wardour, kt.

Defendant(s): Francis Laighton, a clerk in the office of Sir William Heyrick, kt, one of the tellers in His Majesty's receipt, John Rowdon, clerk in Sir Thomas Watson's office, another teller.

Subject of depositions: Debt of £100 due by plaintiff to defendant Laighton, which he allowed to be assigned to defendant Rowdon. Touching the custom among the tellers' clerks when there was money owing between them.

County/place: Middlesex.

Date of commission: 12 February 1622.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 19 March 1622 at Westminster.
