Description

Short title: Wescott v Hearne.

Plaintiff(s): Phillip Wescott, John Channon.

Defendant(s): Thomas Hearne, clerk, vicar of East Budleigh.

Subject of depositions: Rectory of Budleigh, the manor of Polsloe, and the chapel of Widdicomb; whether they were parcel of the late monastery of Polsloe? Tithes of coppice woods in the parish of East Budleigh or in Withecomb Rawleigh. Touching a pension of 40s. alleged to be due from the vicar of East Budleigh. Tithes of East Budleigh. [A grant of the rectory by James I. to Francis Morris and Francis Phillips, and by them to Richard Duke, is mentioned].

County/place: Devon.

Date of commission: 28 November 1618.
