Description

Short title: Ashley v Wingfield.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Anthony Ashley, kt.

Defendant(s): William Wingfield and Matthew de Questor.

Subject of depositions: Execution of an injunction of the Court of Exchequer awarding the possession of the lead mines of Comysteth to plaintiff, and stoppage of the works therein by Sir Richard Price, Thomas Jones, and Edward Vaughan, under alleged authority of a commission from the "Prince his Highness" requiring delivery of possession to defendants.

County/place: Cardigan.

Date of commission: 28 November 1617.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 January 1618 at Llanidloes.
