Description

Short title: Herbert v Middleton.

Plaintiff(s): Arnold Herbert, Richard Ward.

Defendant(s): Sir Thomas Middleton, kt.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to a tenement and lands called "y Plase alias Plase Penmaen" in Penmaen (Merionethshire), "Irrewy alias Nant yr Ewigge" in Selcor, late in the tenure of Griffith Vaughan ap Eignon; whether they are escheate lands? Survey. [A grant of the lands under great seal, 27 December 12 James I, to Tobias Matthew and Thomas Powell in fee-farm, is mentioned].
