Description

Short title: Walton v Baker.

Plaintiff(s): Christopher Walton, purveyor of sheep and cattle for His Majesty's household.

Defendant(s): Audley Baker, Ralph Anderson, Thomas More.

Subject of depositions: Marshes in Terrington, one called Newmarsh, in plaintiff's occupation, and another called East Marsh, in occupation of defendants. Custom of right of way and chase of the farmers of Newmarsh over East Marsh; also touching defendants' grounds in Terrington, called The Gouge, Waterleyes Dike, and Hurdell Fleet, separating aforesaid marshes.

County/place: Norfolk.

Date of commission: 12 February 1616.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 4 April 1616 at King's Lynn.
