Description

Short title: Constable v Hildyard.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Henry Constable, kt.

Defendant(s): Sir Christopher Hildyard, kt.

Subject of depositions: Lordship grounds and liberties of Holderness; whether suit and service at the court belonging to the lordship is due by the constable and inhabitants of Fitling; whether rent for his lands in Fitling and in Winstead, called Twiers Lands, is payable by defendant to plaintiff. [Robert Hildyard, gent; rent alleged to be due by defendant to the manor of Burstwick for his lands in Winstead; rents in Winstead belonging to the chantry of Preston; payment to plaintiff for castle guard of the castle of Skipsey, defendant's lands in Lisset, and others of his in Rowth, lately belonging to George Brigham (deceased), and formerly to Edward Rope, are mentioned].
