Description

Short title: Bennett v Knowles.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Bennett, citizen and alderman of London, Henry Wade, William Cowherd.

Defendant(s): William Knowles, clerk, vicar of Axminster.

Subject of depositions: Vicarage of Axminster. Whether a payment of 13s 4d instead of all agistments and vicarage tithes has hitherto been made by the farmers of a messuage called Wycroft, the grounds thereunto belonging, called The Park, and Bagley Mead?.

County/place: Devon.

Date of commission: 28 November 1615.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 3 January 1616 at Burlescomb.
