Subject of depositions: Manor of Witham, and two water corn-mills parcel thereof, called "Newland Mill" and "Chipping Mill" demised by Crown about 9 August 3 James I, to Henry Smythe, at a reserved rent of 95l. Also touching defendants' mill in Witham, called Machins Mill. Was it ever reputed parcel of Bluntshall Manor? Alleged injury to plaintiff's mills by defendants diverting custom to theirs.
