Description

Short title: Constable v Hildyard.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Henry Constable, kt.

Defendant(s): Sir Christopher Hildyard, kt.

Subject of depositions: Rents and services alleged to be due by defendant to plaintiff (as lord of Holdernes, which plaintiff holds in capite) for his lands in Winstead, Lisset Rowth, Hollam, Fitling (parcel of the late hospital of St John of Jerusalem, in England), and Twier lands in Wanstead. [Title of wardship of George Beck, brother and heir to Thomas Beck, of Skirleigh, for lands in Fitling, grant of the lordship of Holdernes, 4 and 5 Phillip and Mary, to Edward Duke of Buckinghamshire, and Henry Earl of Westmorland, by Letters Patent, and to Sir John Constable by Letters Patent. 2 Eliz, George Harwood, uncle to George Beck, and George Brigham's lands, and also Skipsey Castle and Burstwick Manor, are mentioned].
