Description

Short title: Somerset v Bulkeley.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Charles Somerset, Valentine Prichard, Moore Gwillim.

Defendant(s): Sir Richard Bulkeley, kt, constable of Bewmares Castle and captain of the town of Bewmares.

Subject of depositions: Office of constable of His Majesty's castle of Bewmares. Have former constables of the castle taken "prize" wines of all ships coming from beyond seas into the port of Bewmares, as belonging to their office?.

County/place: Anglesea.

Date of commission: 12 February 1612.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 30 March 1612 at Bewmares.
