Description

Short title: Wentworth v Pulleyn.

Plaintiff(s): Sir William Wentworth, kt, bart.

Defendant(s): Henry Pulleyn, Robert Sutton, Richard Tompson, Oswald Dawson, George Dawson, Alexander Wandley, William Harrison, John Scrowton.

Subject of depositions: Custom of "suit and soken" to two water corn-mills called Harwood Mills, in Harwood. Whether East Keswick is in the parish of Harwood. Whether the tenants of towns within the parish (except in the hamlets of Whigdon and Brandon) have been used to grind and pay toll for their corn at the mills.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 12 June 1611.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 2 October 1611 at Leeds.
