Description

Short title: Penny v Salmon.

Plaintiff(s): Jonathan Penny.

Defendant(s): William Salmon, John Crocker, William Grobham, Thomas Bradley, Giles Abbot, William Jennings, William Whitewell, William Stronge, Robert Clare, John Whitewick.

Subject of depositions: Markets and fairs in the borough of Yevill. Was the monastery of Syon seised of the borough. Metes and bounds of the manor of Henford Matravers, and of the borough. Was Henry Earl of Arundel seised of the manor, and was it parcel of the monastery? Was Sir John Spencer seised of the manor? Privileges of Lord Compton's tenants in fairs. [Sir Ralph Horsey, owner of the fairs, is mentioned].
