Description

Short title: Chamberlayne v Nicholas.

Plaintiff(s): Sir John Chamberlayne, kt.

Defendant(s): Reginald Nicholas, Thomas Nicholas, Thomas Courte, Henry Munden, William Barnes, Thomas Hodges, Richard Benfield.

Subject of depositions: Manor and park of Presburie, in possession of plaintiff, and grounds adjoining, called The Groves. Touching sale of woods therein under a commission, dated about 1 James I and waste and spoil during such sale. Survey of park.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 12 June 1611.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 9 September 1611 at Cheltenham.
