Description

Short title: Hall v Harbert.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Hall.

Defendant(s): Walter Harbert, John Dunne, Margaret Thomas, William John, Thomas Jones, Morgan Thomas Richard Price, Rice Parry.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to lands in Newport, Mallocks Hold, in the parish of Rumney, and in Baseleck; whether parcel of the late chantries called Jenkin Clerk's Chantry and Morgan Rosser's Chantry, and of the chapels of St Lawrence and Romney (Monmouth and Glamorgan), said to have been granted by Crown, 20 January 4 Edward VI, at a rent of £22 per annum to the Earl of Pembroke, and by him to Harry Lewis, and so came to plaintiff. Custom of the manor of Mallocks Hold as to inheritance, etc.

County/place: Glamorgan; Monmouthshire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1610.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 3 September 1610 at Newport, Monmouth, certificate dated 3 September 1610 at Newport.
