Description

Short title: Kelley v Holland.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Kelley.

Defendant(s): Thomas Holland, Gilbert Staplehill, William Flute, Edward Coke.

Subject of depositions: Town, port, haven, and manor of Dartmouth and Kingswere (Devon), and stone quarries and tin works near and adjoining. Customs and port dues. Touching the supply of ships called "The Crescent" and "The Hart" to the fleet of the late Queen for service against the Spaniards, alleged to have been taken up by the mayor of Dartmouth or Sir Francis Drake. Alleged injury and obstruction caused to the harbour by digging the quarries. Rights and privileges of the mayor and burgesses of Dartmouth.
