Description

Short title: Hobart v Sturry.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Henry Hobart, kt, Attorney General.

Defendant(s): Walter Sturry, of Down Russall, John Nesse, Morgan Morgan.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Uprossal otherwise called "The Ile" and Udlington, in the possession of Francis Englefield, lord of the manor, and a heath called Rossall Heath or Smalle Heath or Ile Heath, a common belonging to the manor. Common of pasture on the heath. Metes and bounds. Alleged encroachment on the common. [The possessions of Thomas Sturry, grandfather of defendant, of Mrs Kynnaston, grandmother of Mr Witcherley, and of Witcherley, and of Mr Onslow, of Onslow, and lands in Bickton, are mentioned].

County/place: Shropshire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1610.
