Description

Short title: Attorney General v Platt.

Plaintiff(s): Attorney General.

Defendant(s): Dame Judith Platt, widow and executrix of Sir Hugh Platt, kt, deceased.

Subject of depositions: Administration to the estate of Sir Hugh Platt, deceased, and a bond entered into by him with John Atkinson, and assigned to the King by said John. [A brewhouse called The Old Swan or Black Swan, in the parish of St James, in the city of London, and lands "about" the Bankside, Cowecrosse, Kentish Town (Middlesex), and in St Albans (Hertfordshire), are mentioned as having belonged to the testator; and the names of William Albany the elder and younger, Richard Gore, Robert Albany, William Lynford, Sir Robert Albany (defendant's brother), Jeffrey Nightingale, Peter Tryon, Tisdale Monk, John Watson, - Pember, and Richard Platt, of King's Stanley (Hertfordshire), are mentioned].

County/place: Middlesex; Hertfordshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1610.
