Plaintiff(s): Attorney General.

Defendant(s): Talbot Bowes, Robert Bowes.

Subject of depositions: Last will and administration of the estate of Sir George Bowes, late of Streatlam, father of the relator, Sir William Bowes (his eldest son and heir), and of defendants, including the manors of Streatlam, Cleatlam, Stainton, and Barforth, Isle alias Ile, Bradbury and Hilton (Durham), S. Cowton, N. Cowton, Atley Cowton, and Bradley (Yorkshire), Mickleton and Holdwick, the forest of Lune, the custody or wardship of the body and lands of Joan Headlam, and lands in Sunderland (York or Durham), Collierlye Fishborn (Durham), Markinton (Yorkshire), Dalebank and Bolton (Yorkshire), Unthank (Durham), lease of the rectory of Gainforth, lead mines in Teasdale Forest, leases of the herbage of the "maynes and parks" of Barnard Castle, of the "Great Common" in Teasdale (Durham), of the township of Dalton (Yorkshire). Survey. [The names of Dame Jane Bowes, the second wife of Sir George Francis Bowes, his eldest son by her, Richard Bowes, another son, and John Bowes, her youngest son, Richard Bowes, Sir George's father, Sir Robert his (Sir George's) uncle, Edmond Gresham, Anne Bowes, Sir George's first wife (daughter of Sir William Mallorie) and their children, namely Anne, Jane, Elizabeth, Robert and George Bowes, and Talbot Dent, of Mickleton (Yorkshire), are mentioned].
