Description

Short title: Harry v Price.

Plaintiff(s): Morgan John Harry, of Llanvedowne (Glamorgan.

Defendant(s): William Price (sheriff), Thomas Powell (under-sheriff) of Monmouth.

Subject of depositions: Distraint and levying of cattle by sheriff of Monmouth on the tenants of the manor of Romney for "myses" due to His Majesty after the death of the late Queen Elizabeth. Touching riotous resistance to sheriff in Newport and Romney.

County/place: Monmouthshire.

Date of commission: 5 July 1609.
