Plaintiff(s): Richard Besson.
Defendant(s): The Right Honourable Thomas Lord Scroope, Sir Thomas Metcalf, kt, Thomas Metcalf, John and James Dynsdaile, Sir Christopher and John Metcalf, John and Edmund Dent.
Subject of depositions: Manors of Richmond and Middleham, the liberties and franchises of Richmond and Richmondshire, the forest of Wensleydale, the chaces of Bishopdale and Coverdale, and the chace of the New Forest, and Arkingarthdale, within the two manors. Touching grant thereof to Lord Scroope, dated 26 November 1 James I. What fees did William Fitzwilliam, Christopher Lord Conyers, Thomas Earl of Northumberland, Henry Scroope, James Phillips, Sir Christopher Wansforth, and Talbot Power receive for the offices of bailiff, collector, etc.
County/place: Yorkshire.
Date of commission: 13 February 1609.
Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 27 April 1609 at Bainbridge.
