Description

Short title: Overbury v Talbott.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Overbury, gent, now knight.

Defendant(s): John Talbot, Esquire, Gertrude Wyntour, widow, Edward Barrett the elder, Edward Barrett the younger, Phillip Lench, gent, Robert Barrett, Thomas Gower.

Subject of depositions: Property of Thomas Wintour, of Huddington, Esq, attainted of high treason. How many 'bullaries' of salt water or salt fatts in Droitwich, with their 'cribbs' [rooms in which the salt is laid] and 'scales' [houses to boil salt water in] belonged to Wintour? Whether Wintour gave his father-in-law, John Talbot, a pair of gloves, to the 'intent he might perform a condic' on in certain indentures, and that he might thereby sell his 'fatts' in Droitwich. 'Sale of salt fatts' by Winter to Robert Saunders.

County/place: Worcestershire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1608.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 January 1609 at Evesham.
