Description

Short title: Simpson v Denton.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Simpson, of Great Edston, Jerom Markham, of Keldholme, Richard Maddocks, Robert Lassells, Michael Mawe, William Badley, Thomas Dolbye, Anthony Dolbye, John Stockton, Margaret Stockton, widow, Robert Judson, Gregory Mercer, Christopher Spence, Alexander Cotes.

Defendant(s): William Denton.

Subject of depositions: Late dissolved nunnery or priory of Keldholme, and the rectory and parsonage of Kyrkebyemoresyde; were they granted to Henry and Charles, Earls of Westmorland, attainted, and after to Anthony Foster? Tithes. Was the rectory appropriated to the late priory of Newbroughe? Lease of tithes of Kyrkebymoreshed by priory of Newbrough to Thomas Lexton. Metes and bounds. Tithes. Survey.

Date of commission: 28 November 1608.
