Description

Short title: Hill v Garraway.

Plaintiff(s): James Hill, John Rose, Robert Bragge, Anthony Ellesdone (merchants of Dorset).

Defendant(s): William Garraway, Francis Jones, Nicholas Salter.

Subject of depositions: Woollen cloths called Dorsetshire dozens, Devonshire dozens, and Cornish dozens, their value, texture, and how and where imported. Also touching alledged agreement by plaintiffs to pay 6s 8d "for the custom of every fower Dorsetshire dozens." Survey.

County/place: Dorset.

Date of commission: 12 February 1608.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 April 1608 at Lyme Regis.
