Description

Short title: Governor of the School in Wimborne Minster v Turberoyle.

Plaintiff(s): The Governor of the Free GrammarSchool in Wimborne Minster.

Defendant(s): Troylus Turberoyle, Nicholas Weare, clerk, vicar.

Subject of depositions: Parsonage and vicarage of Shapwick. Tithes. Whether the tithes belong to the parsonage (said to be parcel of the late Deanery or College of Wimborne Minster), or to the corporation of Wimborne Minster. Survey. [The names of James More, gent, of farms in Shapwick, called the Duke's Farm or Duke's Place, Mr Hussie's Farm or Manor, and "Cammells" alias "Rabbetts Farm" Thomas Clawghton, sometime parson of Durweston, and vicar of Blanford, Sir Richard Charnock, Sir Richard Style, Sir William Bradford, Sir Richard Galton, and Sir John Barnes, former vicars of Shapwick; tithes of grounds called the Priory, lately paid to the monastery of Sheene, and now in the tenure of John Harding; and tithe portions paid by Preston, Kingston, Barnesley, and other parishes to the corporation; a pension out of Pymperne Rectory paid to same; and Mr Brocke, John Swayne, clerks, parsons of Pymperne, are mentioned].
